I’m heavily involved in public policy, govt & social justice issues & my 1st thought was that this was coming from someone belonging to a party known for threatening tactics. I clearly lost the plot when I forgot that there’s an elephant theme to the Fediverse🤣

Four-points restraints are supposed to be a last resort & only to be used briefly but the staff at this Illinois left inmates in them for days, sometimes leaving scars the inmates dubbed “The Thomson tattoo”. THEN the new warden tried to address the abuse & got a letter from inmates warning him the guards were trying to bribe them to attack him.

We’re WAY past the point of folks being unaware of the potentially fatal consequences of calling cops on folks. Yet for the “crime” of walking through his gated community this HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL dials 911 calling the girls “Section 8” & “ghetto”.

@KatLS While is one of the very few cities in the country with a true, thriving, middle-class, is still a fixture & since anti- movements have gained a foothold in America, friendly doesn’t mean as much as it used to. Black trans are killed at DISPROPORTIONATELY higher rates than any other group. It remains extremely dangerous for these women just to try to exist amongst the rest of us.
