Kevin McCarthy decided to proceed with an “impeachment inquiry” without taking a full House vote. But he knows this is illegal. He argued it was illegal back in 2019, and Barr’s DoJ affirmed that any impeachment inquiry begun without a House vote was invalid. But he went ahead with it anyway. Because he’s spineless and hypocritical.

Lethal, anti-migrant buoys get a stay for now bc of members in the 5th Circuit:

The 5th Circuit sinks to new lows. They don't grant a stay of the preliminary injunction... but instead indefinitely extend their supposed "administrative" stay until they can argue the full case on an expedited basis. That means the buoys stay, for now.

It bears reminding that Abbott's idiotic & lethal chain of buoys is just 1,000 feet long (less than 1/5 of a mile) along a 1,254 mile border river. So, the only "good" it does is to boost his poll numbers among anti-immigrant Texans who like his "tough on illegals" stance. 😒

The first in U.S. history was Andrew Johnson in 1865.

Congress didn't even THREATEN impeachment again until Nixon in '72.

weaponized Congress in '94 and hunted Bill Clinton until they got him to lie under oath about an affair to justify impeaching him. THAT was his big crime: Lying about an affair.

T**** committed FAR worse… TWICE… and they dismiss his crimes.

But Biden MAY have profited off his son's biz deal.

I've been LiveBlogging the Sunday Morning Poli-talk shows every Sunday since 2004: , and ABC's (I had to chose between other shows that run during the same time slot.)

After watching , I always have a better appreciation for the "it could be worse" POV when watching him. 😉
