Ein Video vieler tanzender Menschen auf Sylt. Im Hintergrund ist ein Sonnenuntergang zu sehen. Die Gruppe ist sehr groß, ungefähr 150 Leute. Über das Video ist ein Post von „Tarek Bae” gelegt mit folgenden Inhalt „Nein, das ist nicht Sachsen. Das sind wohlhabende Mitbürger beim Urlaub auf der Insel Sylt. Als wäre es das normalstes der Welt. Die „Mitte der Gesellschaft”, wie Medien gern sagen. Aber „nie wieder ist jetzt” und so, WA? Wir haben ein gigantisches Rassismusproblem.”

We need a movement for conscientious objection to ReCaptchas. I don’t want to be forced to participate in training machine learning models to identify sidewalks, crosswalks, buses and cars in order to go about my daily life digitally.

I don’t want driverless cars on my city streets. I don’t believe the fiction that this technology will ever be safe.

I do not consent to using my own cognitive labor to train the models that will mow down people on foot or bikes later with no accountability.

That theme is awesome! Another step, making Plasma look friendly, modern and useful. It is very similar to macOS but without the weird choices, and not as extreme and bloated as Windows11, keeping efficiency.

With this, Qt Apps look great! GTK & Libadwaita wastes a ton of space (GIMP 3 looks difficult already), and Qt can show how it is simply a way more practical toolkit here!

Thank you for this work, it is great!

Why are Windows users so stupid, why do I get people in my comments telling me how great Windows 7 still is in 2023. There is literally no rational argument to be running Windows 7, feel free to make one, but hot take, I will never encourage people to run an EOL operating system

I recently did a Debian 11-12 upgrade and those are extreme. Like, the before-state was nearly unusable, but I could get used to modern Gnome.

The "Learn More" link confirms:

    Hatte gerade eine angenehme Diskussion, ungefragt darüber. Protest, der alle erreicht, tut dies ohne Kontext.

    Menschen wollen sich mit nichts beschäftigen. Durch den Alltagsstress ist die Neugier vieler Menschen so beschnitten... dabei ist es leicht, Interviews zu sehen oder sich die Forderungen anzuschauen.

    • ublock preinstalled with *.zip and *.mov blacklist, as well as malware. Ads are irrelevant as you should just use
    • sanitized HTML by default
    • no javascript at all
    • block all trackers
    • install signature checker addon (forgot the name)
    • reduce information your browser sends
    • deactivate all unnecessary features, its a Mailclient based on a Browser, I am sure thats possible

    There is no Ublock Origin on the Thunderbird store, even though it and also the permissionless version work!

    Firefox Translate will be huge, looking forward to that!

    But whats also really bad is, that Thunderbird Conversations is broken (afaik) and there is no replacement, so having the thread just display below each other, including your replies

    Oh it works again! In that case if you simply adopt this addon and make it continue working, thats more than enough.

    DKIM verifier is another one that should be preinstalled and enabled. Its not intrusive.

    Also, having sync between phone and desktop is important. On Android I simply have my contact storage, this is not there on Linux. I have .vcf files, but thats subpar.

    Having sync only the contacts with mails from phone to Desktop would be great!

    Tja, leider reichen nicht nur Güter, auch Menschen müssen unkompliziert klimafreundlich reisen können. Der DB Navigator trackt extrem, nutzt dabei Amerikanische Dienste. ALLE Öffi Apps sind ausschließlich über Google oder Apple zu holen, Android ohne Google hat sie nicht. Sinnvolle Gesamtnavigation geht nur mit Google maps, alles andere ist nicht barrierefrei oder sogar unmöglich.

    This is so crazy. But I would always use it, even if it was slower. And I think, hardened it is actually slower but that doesnt matter. No other browser can

    • store cookies isolated
    • have Torbrowser level hardening
    • support all Addons, all Adblockers
    • have DRM disabled by default
    • support userChrome.css and user.js
    • have so many other addons simply not there on Chromium
    • offer Freedom from Surveillance. At least when using Librewolf or tweaking it a bit.
