Vivaldi

Powerful. Personal. Private. It’s a web browser. But fun. It comes with a bunch of clever features built in. It’s super flexible and does not track you. Get the Vivaldi browser for desktop, mobile, and your car!

@Vivaldi "Create shortcut" + Open as window for any webpage is freaking awesome 😎

Are there any features you wished your web browser could provide that would give you a better experience on ?

I never gave a second thought to until I got a workstation for my job. Using the and PWAs just make sense and have, so far, given me the same user experience as the desktop on (minus just a few minor features).

I think about this on a Sunday, because I'm posting from the PWA, powered by on my , which, so far, has given me the best experience on the site.

I look forward to seeing more apps becoming PWAs.

Incidentally @Vivaldi is a really cool browser which has integrated with the Fediverse. So worth supporting.
You can have your Mastodon feed open in a sidepanel while you browse, and they provide an instance as well.
I still appreciate this instance, where I have been at home, but I thought an instance with (ethical) corporate backing might be more stable into the future? Maybe not. There are plusses and minuses.

I also appreciate the powerful feature set of , with tab stacking, workspaces, notes, mail, calendar and so much more built right in! 💪

Privacy is important.

Using things like Vivaldi's tracker blocker will make it harder to for those with ill intentions to recognise you and build up a profile of your activities.

I live my life this way, nobody tracks me, as I always blend right in! 🤔

Personalisation is indeed highly important.

That is why my unicycle has parts from multiple manufactures, because I am too unique to ride a generic .

Oh and with its advanced themeing and wide range of settings is also pretty damn good at allowing you to have your browser just as you like it as well. 😘

I am 45 years old and a computer user for over 25 years. It was just today that I realized that I can use #Microsoft365 as a PWA in #Linux #Mint via #Vivaldi so I can edit #Word documents without the fear of having something break when the file is later opened by my co-workers on their #Windows machines.

is almost everything I want from a browser. Back in the day I was a paying user of - before it dropped it's excellent (multiple documents interface) and became a simple clone of , and switched to using 'tabs' 😭

Luckily some of the original Opera devs thought the same and created @Vivaldi. It still uses tabs unfortunately, but at least the tab bar can be vertical! The flexibility of Vivaldi is excellent and I hope it will only become better! 😍

Started using @Vivaldi as my main browser. I’m blown away by the level of customization!

If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and test it out for a few minutes.

Just a random thought: I'm astonished that @Vivaldi is the only browser (that I know of) that has figured out that "always open bookmarks in a new tab" might be a useful option to have. And who'd've thunk it would be the "killer feature" that keeps me using this wonderful browser? But it is...
