RIP Mars, 2010 - 2024
This morning I found Mars run over by a car. I miss him very much. We got him from the shelter and he showed his gratitude every day. He was cuddly, playful, a rascal and very curious. Wherever I was, Mars wasn't far away and he spent many cuddly hours on my lap. I am stunned and incredibly sad. My heart is broken and I am crushed 🖤

Over 4-5 days new server- and media storage bills are coming in for this month
Currently I am still over €428 short this month😿😟
For upcoming weekend I have a server migration planned to scale down the costs by another €200 on the main servers but that will only take effect next month

A thing that worries me a bit is with AI in rise so much, many people and companies talk about it like "their AI". Like it's their property and they own the code but it's not..
There are only a few companies on the planet who are "in control" of the code and data, those are the ones who "own AI", not the consumer
There is no "your AI", there is only "their AI" that you work with, don't forget that!
@stux AI in the years old form of spell check can’t even ducking get it right yet. It isn’t the premise of AI that I disagree with. It is the fact that it is trained on stolen art and content and that the data centres use the equivalent of a countries use of power and but more importantly water to run.
Can the hive mind here on #fediverse help me out? What the heck is going on with reports of #Mastodon being the place where pedos go? I've seen zero evidence of anything dodgy like that here at all and the awesome admins shut down nasty stuff promptly.
