the transitions from 2D animation to the CGI stuff in this show just keeps making me think of a video game where the cutscene transitions into actual gameplay. also the ending of this clip feels very much like a video game tutorial

(also also, you only get 2 outfit slots in this cyber future? it really is the coming Metaverse dystopia)

• an educated sports fan could do about as well as any professional GM at drafting 1st round picks over a 10 year span just by following general scouting rankings
• a decently fit person could rush for 1 yard in the NFL with a good enough O line

I love top X lists, esp really bizarre ones where you can obviously tell the biases and specific age/demographic of the people behind it, & I ran into this book and you all need to see this list.

Besides that it's SO US-centric, you can also tell exactly how old the creators of it are, when they were kids, when they were teens, etc...

But it's fascinating just how arbitrary it is to focus on certain chars while saving space with others? Just cuz I think some people are never sure what refers to what. DST, Daylight Savings Time, is the time in the summer where clocks are 1 hour ahead, so sun is at its highest point at 1pm instead of noon. You get more daylight in the evening hours as a result.

The time switch in the winter is switch to Standard Time (1 hour back), where the sun is highest at noon (this is the "normal" time society had before DST was invented, hence why it's Standard), you get more sunlight in the morning but the sun sets earlier in the evening.

If you're in North America, for the last 15 years, DST has been the main time (8 months of the year vs 4 for ST).
