It's insidious. Both my parents considered racism to be a great evil as well as just plain ignorant (perhaps the greatest sin in their house) and after studying media and culture for years, and doing what I could to be anti racist, I still just found myself making unconscious assumptions about a POC in a documentary. It sucks, I don't want that. But what I want less is to have it and not realize it's there. Or refuse to admit it.

It’s reasonable to expect that #AI assistants sold by these or other tech companies will steer you to the products and services that make the most profit for the tech companies.

Trillium Lake is an overly popular but lovely recreation spot on the south side of Mt. Hood. If you get there early enough, especially on a weekday, you can beat the hordes of yahoos and families and get a nice paddle in. It's a little small really but very pretty as you can see. The north end with the reed and lily pad wetlands is particularly cool, we got to hang out with a blue heron as it poked around for breakfast. #kayak #paddling #oregon
