Just spent more time than I'd like to admit creating my own game covers for the games I'll play on my :blobcatderpy:

@joel Nice selection 👌

@lapor Completely! I also realised that I had 5 RSS feeds that were no longer being retrieved with TTRSS, so now I've got everything 😅

@Widowild1 @lapor I also quickly tested Miniflux (on YunoHost) and I find it less practical/relevant when you have more than 5 RSS feeds to follow. I find the organisation and readability better on FreshRSS 🤔

It's not long until the 1st of June, so why not pick up the guitar and learn some catchy tunes for the summer? I've just published version 7.0 of Fretboard, which brings more accurate chord name prediction, note names on hover for the neck top toggles, and a couple of fixes for various small issues encountered since last release. It should be on Flathub very soon!

@bragefuglseth Nice and slick UI 👌Is there any chance to have more instruments … I mean other types of guitares in a near future (I'm a filthy 4 cords bass player) ? 😳

I am thinking about adding a computer history section to my blog, you know, researching companies, old tech etc...
Always been interested in that.

Anybody be interested in reading what I can dig up?

(Propably going to do it anyway...)

@thewk I'd just be more interested in the format you're going to use to compile these data 🤓

Another act against programmed with a friend's , which was in perfect condition but hadn't had macOS updates for a few years and so couldn't have the latest software (thanks golden prison), which was annoying for a web browser (as an example).

As she no longer had any specific software needs, just office software, a bit of web and video playback, I installed @elementary for her and she's super happy, it's even weird for her to have regular updates 😅

In June, #enshittification to come for #Chrome (and its derivatives) : #Google's #ManifestV3 will take effect.

  • #AdBlockers will be limited to 30,000 rules … no more

  • They will no longer be able to update themselves daily, but only when new versions of extensions are published (which Google sometimes takes up to 3 weeks to validate)

To sum up, #AdBlocking extensions will always be late on websites, and in any case will not have enough rules to cover all sites.

I have to admit that it's a bit "scary" about Matrix's priorities but the few channels I consult on Libera Chat are very very (very) poorly frequented … probably not worth the effort ? 🤔

« To make a better game and to reach the 2.0 release sooner, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WE NEED ARE NEW CONTRIBUTORS, be they helping with a few specific things or with many. who could contribute new textures, 3D modelling, music, icons; who could implement features, fix bugs, improve the code structure or work on the engine; contributors willing to improve documentation, create content advertising the game or meticulously report bugs »

New bidder in the alternative quest : . Clearly, the engine is young (2022), so expect a few gaps (it could do with a few more indexations), but it's promising. I particularly like the "optic" concept and the Explore tab 🤓

« Why Your Wi-Fi Router Doubles as an Apple AirTag » by @briankrebs

« Apple did not respond to requests for comment. But in late March 2024, quietly tweaked its policy, allowing people to opt out of having the of their wireless access points collected and shared by Apple — by appending “_nomap” to the end of the Wi-Fi access point’s name (SSID). Adding “_nomap” to your Wi-Fi network name also blocks Google from indexing its location. »
