Final thoughts on the Red Hat thing: every supporter of the Red Hat move told me that "it's normal to want to prevent people from stealing the hard work and making a clone of it".
If you think grabbing the code and reusing it is "stealing", you don't understand FOSS.
No matter what RH clones contribute, or if they're worth it. That's not the point. The point is, RH builds their stuff using the GPL, and they have to redistribute using the GPL.
FOSS is like math, a knownleadge how to do things with computers, what to tell them to do something. And as we know grabbing math equations from someone's book and reusing them is stealing.
RHEL situation is an example why not totally blending together Open Source and Free Software terms is important.
Reading another article about it and still don't knowing what is going on, because the author instead of using terms known since 90's is staring at this like at some UFO.
Same with Android - an Linux kernel based os with Dalvik Java-like virtual machine and just some optional GNU components borrowed. They were people going to debate for hours is it "Linux" or not.

Footage app is something I was looking for a long time! Quick trim and crop without running full editor or messing with timestamps in ffmpeg commands.
Love how GTK+Flatpak apps are slowely replacing random web services in the workflow.
#NotOnGitHub: Tell us about your favourite #OpenSource / #FreeSoftware projects that are not available on mainstream platforms, whether on a self-hosted cgit or available as an archive download only.
here's a little wtf of the day.
I opened an account with Crédit Agricole (name and shame) in order to make use of their deposit offer. once I did all the paperwork, I installed their app (since the deposit can only be opened through it), and immediately got redirected to the website on the screenshot.
the app detected that I'm using an "untrusted" - i.e. non-Google, non-Microsoft keyboard - and it wouldn't let me launch it until I installed one of those.

Hey Banks! Did you know that custom launchers can create an acitvity view that looks similiar to official app and launch it when user touch your icon?

Mastodon server and webclient code is free and open source software. Also, because of AGPL every instance is legally required to provide source code once requested.
Truth Social was a famous Mastodon modification and was forced to release their source code.
The reason LibreJS is blocking it is just because Mastodon does not provide this licence information to the user's browser, only on their website and code repository. So LibreJS does not know if it's free or not.
You can safely add Mastodon to the whitelist.
