( chat client) on mobile needs to fix replies for images. it only shows the image name someone replied to.

i don't even know what the image name is when i upload from my phone. it gets assigned some random sequence of letters.

XMPP server can create virtual users, pretent it exists and direct the messages to other networks, creating a bridge.

For example by writing to USERNAME_DOMAIN@aria-net.org you can chat with a Matrix user.

You can also check out https://jmp.chat, this is a service that gives real US phone number to call and text by using XMPP client.

I can recommend Navidrome.
Because it's sctrictly for music and Jellyfin has problems recognising albums from metadata.

All those URLs, bars, nonconsistant design of web pages, thinking about SSL and weird padlocks, so many settings. Only technical people can use it.

When an app asks for permissions, the OS should not only let you answer yes or no. Every category should have a "yes, but feed the app fake data" option.

Want my contacts for no reason? Have these generated fake ones! Wanna listen to my microphone? Here's random ambiance sounds! Location? I'm on a tiny 5x5m island!

Hell yeah! Put it all in your databases mfers!

Actively punishing services wins over boycotts any day. Didn't want that junk in the database? Don't ask for it!
