Sprawdzałem po interwencji @didek (był problem z aktualizacją software) i wrócił wtedy do żywych.

Dzisiaj sprawdzam, nadal działa.

My public server, noevil.pl, is unfortunately totally unresponsive now.

As soon as it restarts (and have open port to the outside) database is flooded with everlasting SELECT queries.

Taki telefon później trafia dalej w obieg i jest elektrośmieciem dla społeczeństwa, o ile dalej nie będzie chciało dalej używać go wedle pomysłu Apple.

Mam inne rozwiązanie. Może zamiast na siłę grzebać w iOS, nakazać opublikowania sterowników lub dokumentacji technicznej do telefonu, tak aby możliwe było wgranie innego systemu niż ten od producenta. Jak komuś się podoba to zostaje, jak nie to zmienia. Software przyspawany do sprzętu nie powinien istnieć w czymś tak uniwersalnym jak smartfon czy komputer.

As far as I know iOS does not allow apps to have push notifications in background without pinging Apple, so UnifiedPush would not work.

    Speaking of it. I cannot believe that Facebook adopting a protocol would be less smelly than Google.

    Facebook with ActivityPub is just announcing a support, while Google adopting RCS is already gatekeeping the whole ecosystem.

    Dodatkowo mObywatel używa Google Play Integrity API (kiedyś nazywanego SafetyNet), który uniemożliwia używanie aplikacji jeśli została przez niego zmodyfikowana lub gdy używa jej na telefonach do których ma prawa administracyjne.

    Więc nawet gdyby mObywatel był na wolnej licencji, może się okazać że poprawiona wersja, zmieniona dla naszych potrzeb lub opublikowana poza Google Play nie będzie mogła połączyć się z rządowymi serwerami.

    Tylko zakładając, że mieli by umieścić aplikację w oficjalnym repo F-Droid.
    Nieoficjalne już nie mają takich zasad, a też na razie jest jedynie powiedziane o udostępnieniu kodu, publikację na F-Droid dopiero my proponujemy.

    No nie, jak najbardziej możesz wypuścić program nawet jako (A)GPL, a nie dopuszczać modyfikacji do interakcji ze swoim serwerem.
    Licencja mówi co ty możesz zrobić ze swoją kopią, ale nie gwarantuje że ktoś ma dla ciebie utrzymywać i udostępniać aktywną usługę.

    Jest to naruszenie, ale idei FOSS.

    Przez klucze API podane podczas kompilacji (o ile licencja nie chroni przed tym), albo przez trzecią stronę jak Google która już nie jest FOSS i sprawdzi np sumę kontrolną naszego build'u.

    Nie, SafetyNet działa głównie po stronie serwera twórcy aplikacji i serwerów Google.
    Samo sprawdzanie jest w trusted zone procesora oraz w Google Play Services, aplikacja jedynie widzi wynik.

    Gdyby mObywatel miał robić wyjątek, to równie dobrze SafetyNet mogło by nie być.

    Room is not only a chat room, it's just a name for a "container" of some data, I think.
    In Matrix rooms have chronological events, non-chronological states and members with permissions. This can also be group for posting, game lobby or user profile with interactions, basically anything.
