@SocraticEthics The Shaheeds went down in Romania because Ukraine legitimately defended itself against them. Not because Moscow is attacking Romanian no-man's land. If you say "any attack needs a response," then let's remember Eastern Poland or the Estonian swamp that was "attacked" with a Spanish AMRAAM. Article 4 will only bring Turkey and Hungary to the table and torpedo any further collective help to Ukraine. This communication strategy is counterproductive for Ukraine.

A Russian Su-27 fired two missiles at a British surveillance plane last September due to miscommunication.

The first missile did not lock on and the second one fell from the wing when launched.

@Fischblog Der Fisch stinkt vom Kopf her. Im "Rudi mach du das" DFB kriegen weder Frauen- noch Männermannschaft etwas gerissen. Ist das Management kleinkariert, korrupt und innovationsfeindlich wirkt sich das auf Trainer und Spieler aus. Die würden auch Klopp oder Guardiola verheizen.

Multiple sources say, long range ATACMS missiles will be delivered in a future security assistance package to Ukraine.

Biden has been holding back these missiles, but the US army has done a recount and discovered it has more missiles than originally registered.

@anderspuck @randahl But then there is not the pne homogenous US Army. Seversl national guards probably operate this. Then some defense research organizations and possibly some reserve depot something something. Or it is a white lie. Either way it's good news.

@anderspuck @randahl Germany had a scandal recwntly where the Commander of the Special Forces Command (KSK) was unaware of a second ammunition depot he owned. His staff had kept it from him. Barcode or not. A lot of stuff can disappear in a military organization.

@anderspuck @kevinrothrock @Loukas It becomes a hard number in the German political debate. Since Germans is a strong believer in transfer payments there will be large consensus to continue payments in the billions. Not just for arms, but to keep the country running at all. European arms manufacturers are setting up factories in Ukraine. Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands are giving F-16s. The weights may shift, but the West will not cease to help.

@Loukas Schäuble said a lot of unwise things. Internally Germany has transfer payments between states (Länderfinanzausgleich - for the next dinner conversation) and in reality the EU is a tranfer union already. What I meant is that it is baked into German political culture. Support to Ukraine will remain because it is established and we don't like change.

Musk's sabotage of an ongoing Ukrainian offensive military operation raises more questions: How did Musk know when and where the operation was happening so as to disable communications at the critical moment such that the attack would fail and the drone assets lost? What other operations is he meddling with? Is he sharing any comms or location information gleaned from with the Russians?

After two days of public denial, including denials from the President of Romania, the wreckage of a Russian drone that Ukraine swore detonated in Romania was found in the Plauru area of Tulcea county after the September 6 Russian attack on Odesa region. @SocraticEthics And now for the reason as to why they impacted Ukraine. Ask Romanians for their help after they hear the reason. Why is Ukrainian messaging so off in these birder incidents? They threw the Polish under the bus when the 5V55 killed two Poles and now shoot themselves in the foot with the Romanians. The drones impacted due to AD activity. This massive messaging will backfire if not corrected. The Romanians corrected themselves. The ball is in Kiyiv's court now.
