I have the next nine days off and suddenly I feel something akin to agoraphobic about the unstructured time in front of me. I’ll bet this is how people getting out of the military or prison feel. Like it’s great, but also makes me anxious.

Kudos to musical artists everywhere who don't put intros, sound clips, or skits on their albums and just let the songs speak for themselves. I'm guilty of doing this myself with my own songs in the past, too. Never again

I online-purchased an affordable kitchen island to use as a taberot. When it arrived, I was surprised to find it was actually made of solid wood and of proper cabinetry quality (albeit not high-end) and easily assembed.

The hardwood kitchen island taboret was a steal at under $200. I highly recommend it if you can't work a proper $500+ taboret into your budget.

I'm reading a review of The Creator that goes on about the implications of Tyrell Corp's motto "more human than human" in Blade Runner, scoffs at the White Zombie relation, then never once notes it's a nod to Theodore Sturgeon. It's amazing how some people can be simultaneously famous yet totally unheard of.

One thing I've learned from Federated is that we make too big a fuss over nudity. The idea of everyone running around buck-naked may sound prurient and titillating, but if it became common practice, it would be largely disappointing.

After many years of switching around between Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Pandora, Prime Music, etc., I have finally canceled the last subscription and gone back to synching playlists from my computer onto my phone. Streaming services seem far more focused on selling me whatever they're trying to sell that day rather than helping me discover music I might actually like, except for Pandora, which just plays the same songs over and over. On balance, the convenience isn't worth the cost.
