The more I read on #Meta, #ActivityPub and #GDPR, I get the impression that the fundamental architecture of the #Fediverse is almost incompatible with GDPR. How is this discussed within the Fedi #admin circle?

Just to make this clear to the non-Germans amongst my mutuals: there were not "10s of thousands" on the streets against #fascism in #Germany but 100s of thousands, probably around 1.4 million in total. The largest demonstrations since reunification.

#Meta is most likely not coming to "destroy" the #Fediverse. We have just over 1.5mn monthly active users (MAU) here, clearly we are not a threat to their combined 3,740mn MAU. Heck, Meta probably won't mind losing 1 or 2mn of them to "us" if they can establish a #Twitter alternative. That's the big prize imo. The bird has over 350mn MAU. Getting only 10 percent of those is worth potentially losing 1 or 2mn to the Fedi.

The thing with #EliteDangerous is: I'm totally disinterested in the #Thargoids and the devs keep adding stuff for that. I just want to explore intriguing planets and maybe get a bit more Guardian archeology. And if the FPS elements would be half-decent, I wouldn't mind going on a campaign for the Alliance military/intelligence, bit spying, bit hacking, bit shooting. Alas, it's those Goids...

Ok #StarWars mutuals on #Mastodon, let's get this #introduction going towards the GFFA:

• Luke Skywalker is and always will be my favorite character (from young Luke to grumpy Luke)
• TLJ is the best Disney SW movie so far
• Rebels is essential SW and I would trade almost all movies for that show
• Gilroy is god (Andor)
• Ahsoka should’ve been animated
• Thrawn is the best anti-hero SW ever had (at least in the new canon novels)
• The Jedi video games are excellent!

Now I watched #TheDevilsChord and... well that was an hour of television. In some respect that worked better than #SpaceBabies, in others it... didn't, at least for me. Gatwa brings a lot to #DoctorWho and there's enough mystery around Ruby to keep me watching. But let's just say that I'm really glad the next episode is written by #StevenMoffat.
