I had a pretty rough day and contemplated just giving up on @pixelfed because it seems like I can’t catch a break

But after calming down, I started to remember all the big milestones and the people who believe in our platform and in me

I’m not ready to give up, in fact this was the kick in the ass I needed to get my priorities straight and focus on shipping the app ASAP and also Groups

I’m a few months behind on my NLnet Groups milestone and need the money so that’s my focus after the app

Hey here's a thing not everyone knows:

Cetirizine (Zyrtec) has been shown to be as effective as diphenhydramine (Benedryl), without the drowsy side-effects. So now that cetirizine is available OTC and as a generic, there's basically no reason to take diphenhydramine (except as a sleep aid, I guess.)

How big of a problem is it for Python that when a non-technical Ubuntu user searches App Center for "python" they don't find the Python.org interpreter at all? (But do find other random packages.)

The python.org downloads page for Linux users just links to the source code downloads, which is less than ideal for non-technical users who just want to write some scripts.

🎶 Music recommendation!

The Race For Space by Public Service Broadcasting is a mashup album but a very cool/strange one. It combines actual audio from the Apollo program with sorta indie-rock-ish instrumentals. The album opens with JFK's "we choose to go to the moon” and closes with audio from the actual moon landing.

It's one of my favorite albums: the music slaps, the concept totally works, and it never fails to give me chills.
