The other day where I live I noticed a building made of tabby concrete, a type of concrete with broken oyster shells inside. Its surface was breaking, revealing the oysters incorporated in the matrix of the concrete. I've recreated it in Substance Designer and rendered it with Eevee Next. @metin @mbt3d I did! I am very excited for the future of EEVEE, I think that once the rewrite is done and they start adding new features to it, it really has a chance over Unreal as a renderer. There is nothing like it! I’ve played with SSGI, and it looks great, even if it happens in screen space… I would like to see a full GI solution like Lumen or SDFGI eventually :D

@dansup I personally feel that this particular feature of Instagram’s implementation of stories could have been left out, or be made an optional opt-in. I’d rather not have authors know my identity when reading their stuff, if I don’t explicitly choose to interact.

@dansup Ah, making public stories not do this improves this, thank you! And having an option for authors would be great too, even if I’d love a user option to do it, that perhaps makes it impossible to see who views your own stories, similarly to how disabling Whatsapp’s blue tic makes it impossible for you to see it as well.

@gbhnews I love Mona! It has the most “native” feeling UI, while being really customizable. It is also the most feature complete client.

Hi @MonaApp ! I have a possible feature request: I find myself not tapping on a post, but always selecting the “Load from remote server” button to see every answer under a post and not only a few. I do the same with profiles to see all posts. Would it be possible somehow to make it so that when I tap a post or a profile, Mona automatically loads the remote content? Thanks a lot in advance :)

The ceiling of these bathrooms in Topkapi, designed by the great Mimar Sinan, have these beehive holes which allow the rooms to be very bright without having windows. It’s such brilliant architectural solution!

@christianselig I think Apollo is the app I’ve used the most on my phone. Not only it was the sanest and most elegant way to access Reddit, but it was a piece of software full of joy and little quirky and sweet touches. Looking forward to see what is next, and I do hope that from this debacle something good will come out for the internet :)

@davidrevoy I think that this might be counterproductive, as it might create an easy-to-mine hashtag for AIs to be trained upon.

As the last episode of is going to air next week, I just can't imagine having to wait a FULL YEAR to get season 2. Once Season 1 is finished, I will have no choice but to get the books and read the story until the end at my own pace. 📚

@konstantin been doing this as I was too curious. I’ve found out that the series made a lot of variations, and I’m now thinking I might prefer the books. The fact that the two are quite different, while sharing the crucial elements, makes Wool a very enjoyable read, after the series.

time! I'm Matteo Scopel, a material artist. I love creating intricate, warm and accurate materials. I research the history and physical properties of what I create, and I'm inspired by ancient things and crafts.

Some of the tools I use are Substance Designer, Blender, Houdini, Unreal Engine.

I spend most of my free time reading or going around snapping photos. I also am very interested in urbanism and architecture. I studied philosophy.
