Klasfeld:

would need to post "a bond in an amount equal to the judgment" to delay enforcement.

Between the civil fraud and E. Jean Carroll judgments, "the immediate question is whether Trump has the liquidity" to post those bonds.

Twitter evicted for non-payment of rent in Boulder, CO. Sheriff ordered to evict.

owes three months’ rent to its Boulder landlord, and a judge has signed off on evicting the tech giant from its office there

The judge issued an order that the sheriff should assist in the eviction of Twitter within the next 49 days — i.e. before the end of July

More than 150 staff work there.

The case number is 2023CV30342 in Boulder District Court.

The democrats should propose a bill that nobody convicted of a felony can run for president and watch the GOP squirm as to why a felon should be unable to vote but eligible to run for president.

thepoliticalcat,
@thepoliticalcat@mstdn.social avatar

@seldo No point trying it, since I believe it would require a Constitutional Amendment, and we all know how likely that is. At least until Americans vote ALL Republicans out of office.

Whilst enjoying a delicious dinner at a lovely hidden gem of a Suffolk restaurant, we were greeted by Dave who, like any cat, enjoys a good bit of sunbathing and cuddles. The table scraps were welcomed too! 😄

For four years, he heard about rape, groping, sexual assault, child molestation, fraud, lies, theft, connivance and conspiracies with the worst elements in the world, and NOW he wants to pull that pious crap? If he had a moral core, he would have said "NO!" seven years ago. He's a maggot.

Why does anyone chose nuclear spending over solar home installs? So money goes to rich people, not us.

So economic control increases, and economic independence, ours, decreases.

So coercive economic power stays in a few hands, not spread out over many hands.

So security "requirements" include treating your population as terrorists, and not equal members of the economy and society.

Install solar on every roof, home, school, enterprise.

thepoliticalcat,
@thepoliticalcat@mstdn.social avatar

@kevinrns We just got asked if we'd like to contribute our excess solar power to the grid so people wouldn't have to use polluting "natural gas." I'm so hoping the entire STATE will be on solar by 2024!

thepoliticalcat,
@thepoliticalcat@mstdn.social avatar

@kevinrns As long as it gets polluting power out of the mix, I'm willing to give up some of our stored power for money. If it was a co-op, I'd donate it, but PG&E ain't making money off my investments, no sir.

thepoliticalcat,
@thepoliticalcat@mstdn.social avatar

@kevinrns I'm in California, and my Governor is the very best of people. Our Democratic governors have always been excellent. The state has assisted us in going completely solar/electric, we put in solar panels and a battery, got an EV which we charge at the house, we're putting in heat pumps this summer and moving to an electric kitchen this winter.

thepoliticalcat,
@thepoliticalcat@mstdn.social avatar

@kevinrns And we owe it all to our wonderful governor, who has always been on the cutting edge in ensuring that Californians have Good Things. By end-year we'll be completely off the grid and cut our last ties with the gas companies, and next year we'll have a graywater garden, so hooray?

thepoliticalcat,
@thepoliticalcat@mstdn.social avatar

@kevinrns As President Barack Obama always said, we build from the center on out, a wholistic view of the economy and the people whose lives it supports. No trickle-down needed, let's share resources and lift EVERYONE up!

@pivoinebleue @PandaChronicle Both Mittens and Hutchinson are awful, horrible people who should never, ever be anywhere near the halls of power. Neither has a moral core to speak of, and both would willingly sell out all they believed in for power. The only difference is that Mitt has a constituency that believes he is the Messiah, so he can't get his hands TOO dirty.

Blues, once a popular and influential musical genre, has become scarce in many Black communities, with seeming abandonment by young Black-Americans. At just 24 years years old, Kingfish (Christone Ingram), represents a resurgence of the blues due to his remarkable talent, life story, youthful energy, & dedication to the blues.

The Blues is in safe hands.

A reminder: “Many studies have established that immigrants commit crimes at consistently lower rates than native-born Americans.”

Mary Fields (Stagecoach Mary) was the FIRST Black American & 2nd woman to deliver the mail in the U.S. At 60, she applied for a mail carrier position in Montana's Cascade region. She aced the job by skillfully hitching her horses faster than anyone else. Despite bandits, wolves, & grueling weather, Mary never missed driving the route with horses & Moses, her mule. She would often trek by foot over 10 miles with sacks over her shoulder.

The robbery of Black talent and ability has been a terrible blow to the whole world, depriving us of contributions that would have made our world immeasurably better.
