What the hell is going on at Nubian square? I’m curious to see what will happen with the bus driver who has refused to enter the intersection with blocked traffic, but more annoyed that I’m going to miss a mtg. We’ve been stopped at the same intersection for almost 10 minutes. Trapped

@josephcox @zackwhittaker interesting. On one hand, given that every white person living in North America is on stolen land it’s kind of amusing to see this clash and I don’t much care. But privacy matters, too. I’m really not okay with gov’t sneaking around like this, acting without a warrant.

Thinking about the piece from yesterday, “The trouble with boys isn’t boys”, by Andrew Reiner.

On one hand, yes, I remember my mom saying in the 90s that “men are pigs”, which seems unhelpful.

On another hand, if somebody was teaching about toxic masculinity and you remember “boys/men are toxic” then you may have heard what you were expecting and not what they SAID.

Obviously a big nuanced topic for less than 500 characters but I wanted to share a bit from my story.

Pedestrians, it should be our right to be distracted. It should be our right to walk and listen to music / look at the sky / cute dogs / snowflakes and not worry about getting killed. Nothing about that is dangerous except for CARS. Don't let them make you believe you are the problem.

At least in we have a serious case of car brain, which means we consider motor vehicles part of one’s body until they ram into somebody, maiming or killing them, when all of a sudden there was no driver present—to describe one symptom. It’s really wild when you start to see this for the sickness it is.
