    @Teri_Kanefield The House Select Committee investigating the January 6th attack on the Capitol has argued that Meadows's communications are not protected by executive privilege. They have said that Meadows's participation in the electoral plot was not part of his official duties as White House chief of staff, and that his communications were made in furtherance of a crime.

    @Teri_Kanefield With the acknowledgement that the courts will further rule on the matter, Meadows has already waived his right to executive privilege by voluntarily turning over some of his communications to the House Select Committee. This makes it even more difficult for him to argue that his communications are protected by executive privilege. And it’s unlikely he would be cooperating to unless he knows immunity is a problematic defense.
