Happened to me last night when a male acquaintance said to me "See you later, Big Man".

Chuffed!

While I would argue that the Greens also have Scotland's interest at heart (its just that FPTP screws them), this is a decent short article from Kate Forbes.

A triumph of over-engineering, the Forth Bridge, often called the Forth Rail Bridge since the arrival of the Forth Road Bridge: now one of three great bridges across this part of the Firth of Forth, each built in a different century. @UndisScot "over-engineering" is often very wise in a changing world
What is just-about adequate today is very inadequate tomorrow

There are many little bridges near me over streams and small rivers that are hundreds of years old, built for livestock, pedestrians and horse-drawn carts

Now used by unimaginably heavy trucks, hit with increased flooding, largely ignored and neglected

Over-engineering is a gift to future generations and a humble acceptance that many changes are unknowable

If you want just one good reason why not to vote either Tory, Labour or LibDem in Scotland, this is it - they all oppose rejoining the EU whilst more than 69% of Scots recognise the astonishing economic and cultural damage that Brexit has done and want to rejoin.

The unique device is located just five minutes from Inverness Airport at Connage Highland Dairy.

@MadeyeTheCarnaptious I don’t think it will just go off once. MI5 alerted to Rishi describing nationalists as extremists.

I think it will go off in lots of controlled explosions, each designed to put it onto the front page on that particular day. What is beyond doubt is that they will keep it rolling along with periodic press releases and it will only be finally settled one way or the other AFTER the election.
If they don’t like the result, it will be resuscitated for the Scottish election.

And so it begins: 🇬🇧 GE campaign Day 1.

"In a statement on Thursday afternoon, Police Scotland said... a report had been sent "in relation to a 59-year-old man who was charged on 18 April 2024".

"They added that the investigation dubbed "Operation Branchform" had not yet come to an end.

"... a spokesperson for the COPFS said... investigations into two others, a 72-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman, remain ongoing."

How very convenient.
