I joined mastodon today because the CEO of #tumblr had a complete meltdown recently when people called him out for deleting a trans woman's blog because she posted a transition timeline. The vibes were definitely off, just doesn't feel like a safe place right now. I'd love to follow more #trans and #queer folks on here! This is my second social media account (third if you count myspace. omg should I go back to myspace??) so I need all the help I can get with navigating this place.
Since coming to terms with your gender, how often have you wished you were just a regular cis person of your gender? (E.g. trans fems wishing they were "just another cis girl")

Apparently the "#queer is a slur" discourse is back on social media and look, y'all, we settled this in the 1990s. Get with the century. We have a right to reclaim these words and we already have. Get the fuck over it, and accept my queer as fuck self or get into some therapy.

There are so many of us that feel like it will be impossible to ever be ourselves. I want to show what social transition, HRT, and/or gender-affirming surgeries are capable of doing for us because I know that would have made a difference for me once upon a time.

The piece in question will discuss a little bit of complicated history of the before/after transition images but then focus on the power of seeing how dynamic our bodies are and how much is possible through different kinds of transition.
