Soooo, in other news Solaria has a Steam page now!

I got approved on NYE, so thank you whichever Steam employee was working that day 🥳

Naturally, it's early days for the game so it's early days for the page too. But it's there, it'll be improved and filled in more as the game progresses, and it's very exciting!

22 wishlists already and only 15 or so are from friends and family, I'm calling that a success haha 😎

So I'm following a lot of talented game devs on here, and always enjoy seeing updates of your work.

But I've not found a whole bunch of people making games like mine, and would love to do so.

If anyone is making, or knows someone who is making one of the following, please hit me up!

  • City builders
  • Puzzle games
  • Cozy games
  • Games with a simple low poly art style
  • Minimal takes on a usually complicated genre

(Boosts welcome, thanks)

Looking for a #game #recommendations . #CityBuilder like #factorio or #timberborn , but with a strong ecological thread, working with or even for the ecosystem, not against it. Does that count as #solarpunk ?

Today we're back for another #CitiesSkylines2 episode! This is the last CS2 video for the year, so I hope you've enjoyed our journey building the Azure Delta region so far. Today we start working on a Capital/CBD area, along with the tackling the challenges that brings! https://youtu.be/WhaUVoFbImQ #CitiesSkylines #SelfPromo #YouTube #Streamer #VideoGames #ShareYourGames #CityBuilder

This screenshot may look the same as most of my other screenshots. But therein lies the success!

Been refactoring Past Me's terrible first steps into hex grid generation to remove some hardcoded stuff. And as a bonus, I got to delete a ton of other crappy code at the same time.

Everything looking (and mostly functioning) the same now as it did two days ago? Huge success! 😎

Manor Lords might be okay, actually

City builder sims usually are so addictive that often avoid them, but I couldn't resist this one; it has the one feature I always wanted from this type of game.

The Premiere for my longest and most boring video yet, is UP! It also has a trailer so if you enjoy the trailer, you'll most likely enjoy the video, if you don't, then this video is just not for you. https://youtu.be/GKbsuWm_IEE

I've made a terrible mistake!

Finally added visible bridges to connect the hexes, so my little capsule fellas are no longer floating weirdly over the gaps.

But now instead of working on it more, I just keep watching them mill around town aimlessly. Oops! 😅

p.s. yes I'm doing on a Sunday and you can't stop me.

Zoomed-in gif of my under-development city builder project. There are three hex tiles with simple bridges connecting them. Little capsule people wander aimlessly around each hex, sometimes crossing a bridge to visit another one.

Against the Storm is another game I've really been enjoying lately. It's an early access city builder but I was surprised at how much depth there seems to be so far. You get the chance to restart with a settlement over and over, but it doesn't feel tedious or like you're losing progress. So far, the "danger" parts aren't too "you messed up so now you've lost everything" which I like because my anxiety could never. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1336490/Against_the_Storm/
