More photos taken around the Castle Museum of Saginaw County History, featuring the hallway, spiraling staircase, a model of a carousel, statue of Abraham Lincoln, an early 20th Century car, post office, and my favorite area: A reconstruction of the Myer Bros. Jewelry Store (1914-1974) which I believe is still the original cabinets, along with some photos of some wares. Shot in June 2023.

Did you know there is a Crochet Museum? It's very cute.

"Among the eclectic collection you’ll find just about every conceivable type of item, represented in crochet form. There are animals like poodles, bears, and unicorns. There are also more abstract designs, like smiley faces and lumpy little creations that are less identifiable."

The museum is free and open 24/7.

Now if only their Space Exploration exhibit were as current. They've got plaques describing, in future tense, missions that finished 10 years ago 😅

As a lawsuit about Marina Abramović’s 2010 MoMA retrospective makes its way through the courts, questions are being raised over museums’ duty towards the people working in boundary-pushing exhibitions. Is the act of harassing a performer akin to vandalizing the art?

Hey friends, does anyone know what either of these objects are?
(They were found in a deceased relative's jewelry box.)
Please boost for added eyes, thanks! 😊

The lettering on the object on the left says:
Hadley Made in USA
Both ends open up to 90⁰ and the main body expands and contracts about a centimetre.

A clever person has said that the object in the right is a Writescope telescoping mechanical pencil. Thanks!
