FYI for ant fans in Oregon, one of the formiculture forum members has started a small ant concern selling local species and some basic supplies.
I have not shopped with them, but were they in NY I'd be interested! Out west ya'll are lucky to have so many ant shops (there are a few good ones in CA too)

I love this traditional shop front on the ground floor of a Dumbarton Road tenement in the west of Glasgow. It started life around 1900 as a tobacconist and confectioners, before becoming amongst other things, a spirit dealers, a music shop selling tapes and records, and a locksmiths. In 2019, it became the Nicolls Gallery and Supplies, who restored/recreated the original facade.
We need a new #mattress, having got almost 2 decades out of the current one. What is the point in #bed#shops#selling online things you can't try in the #store? Today we were told (#instore) that "that one is #online only". If we can't test it out for 5 minutes we can't buy it. Do people really buy something that needs to last 5-years plus without even touching one? Haven't got the time or patience to risk a #returnable one.

I read that in an interview JK said he was attracted to blue & white now.

Fun things bought cheaply in #Hastings#secondhand#antique#shops I resisted buying lots of blue & white china things as I don't have anywhere to put them. Also got bits for Christmas 🎄 presents!!!
In humdrum consumption news I still haven't been to the only Wilko here. In even more exciting but narcoleptic news I might well travel to our nearest "The Range" store.
