I'd like to remind all Mastodon users that you can add a language filter to any follow relationship on Mastodon.

If you follow me and you don't speak German, you can easily remove my German posts from your timeline by adjusting the language settings.

Go to my profile page, select the dot menu and click "Change subscribed languages". Then select the languages that you speak.

This really is a hidden gem 💎 on Mastodon and not many people seem to know this feature :awesome:

Any suggestions for over-the-ear (and ideally around, and not over, the head) Bluetooth headphones? Mine are finally dying and I'm needing new ones. I use them for lifting workouts, running, and for walking out-and-about.

All of the models like these I have found seem to be cheap knockoffs of dubious quality.

I can't wear/use earbuds, so anything like that is right out.

All because a lovely crazy person invented #RadioFreeFedi and has poured their soul into keeping it alive and vibrant and FREE (in every sense).

I loathe current-AI in basically all its forms. It's unethical, absolutely divorced from anything that resembles consent.

But you know what I would want AI for?

Smarter driving instructions. A GPS in my car that learns how I like to drive - no lefts on busy streets for example. That when I ask about things like a coffee shop or takeout food en route gives me the option to specify if it has a drive thru and is it on the right side of the road?

AI that serves me, not replaces me.

Anyone want to share their opinions on #SewingMachines? I may be interested in buying a new one. I have a 20 yr old Janome that is so loud I can't use it when anyone is home because they complain. It's also cranky & I could never get it to make good stitches consistently. I want to make my own clothing & since this is probably a passing fancy, I'd like to not pay an arm & a leg for it.
