US' #NSF and Europe's #ERC mulling it over with working groups.
Concerns:
*Privacy/Piracy “the information becomes part of its training data. ” (why I don’t chatGPT though I really hate writing)
*Error ”AI-written reviews will be error-prone"
*Bias ”against non-mainstream views”

#ArcBrowser wzbudził we mnie nowe pokłady kreatywności.
Dziś postanowiłem przetestować funkcję #Boost, czyli edycję wyglądu strony. Dzięki opcji usuwania elementów, mogłem się pozbyć rozpraszaczy z #Facebook, a także odświeżyłem #Allegro.
Natchnęło mnie także do edycji @svmetasearch - na początku zaplanowałem sobie wygląd wyszukiwarki (dzięki opcji modyfikacji CSS), a potem posiłkując się wprowadzonymi zmianami wraz z pomocą @slavistapl stworzyłem zupełnie nowy wygląd dla #SVMetaSearch, który jest już dostępny w wersji produkcyjnej. Nie ukrywam, że trochę wzorowałem się #Quklook, natomiast myślę, że teraz wygląda dużo świeżej i, dzięki zmniejszonemu kontrastowi, mniej męczy oczy.

Po pierwszych 15 min jestem w stanie stwierdzić, że #Arc nie będzie moją jedyną przeglądarką, ze względu na brak obsługi #PWA. Jednak #UngoogledChromium będzie musiał sobie działać w tle
Powiem szczerze, że po pierwszym dniu użytkowania jestem zadowolony z #Arc i chyba uda mi się do niego przyzwyczaić. Tak jak wspomniałem wcześniej brak obsługi #PWA uniemożliwia mi całkowite przejście na niego, natomiast niech sobie tam działa w tle jakaś inna przeglądarka.

@matt You are the reason I use Arc every day, Matt. It's a bit quirky, but in a good way. It just feels like most browsers have become bulldozers; they do the work but don't exhibit the rarest of design philosophies, elegance. #arc
I really hope #Intel#Arc becomes way more mainstream because two graphics card vendors is not enough. Competition is a healthy thing. The improvements they have made to their drivers are very nice and show that they are dedicated to make this thing work.

I’m a bit confused. According to Intel’s website, the #Arc#A310 and #A380 launched at the same time, yet I can’t seem to find an A310 anywhere to buy. What am I missing?
lol, I just stumbled across @TomF's blog post on #Larrabee, Intel's GPU project prior to #ARC.
It's widely parroted that #Intel#Phi is Larrabee without the texture units, but more accurately the Phi chip still has them, they're just unused (there's even DVI pins).
It makes me wonder to what degree they're disabled? Could a low level driver access them, or a modified firmware? 🤔

PS: "For the moment" these tools can help reviewers string words together, not judge quality. We have good reasons to seek evaluative comments from human experts.
Apart from #quality, one concern is #confidentiality. If grant proposals become part of a tool's training data, there's no telling (in the NIH's words) “where data are being sent, saved, viewed, or used in the future.”
