Only one issue I have with this poem called: An Incomplete List of Things More Competent of Running the Country Than The Current Government…can you guess what it is? 😉
Austerity, Brexit, Covid Lockdown Parties, PPE Scandal, Raw Sewage in UK Waterways & Coastal Areas, Economic Crash, Record Inflation, Record Interest Rates, Cost of Living Crisis, Pensions Decimated, Mortgage Rises, NHS in Crisis, Schools Crumbling, Housing Crisis...

And so it begins. Everything between now and then is Party Political Campaigning.
Get registered. Get Voter ID. Vote!
Remember: The first job is to Get The Tory Out #GTTO
So don't fight among yourselves. Support the party most likely to get your local Tory out. Tactical Voting FTW!
Rishi Sunak has stated its going to be about who the public trusts...
Not the ground on which he might be best advised to fight after a decade & half of scandals, corruption & crisis....
Indeed, he says he's going to 'earn our trust'.... well given he's been PM for some time, and is (therefore) admitting he hasn't earnt our trust already, this looks like howl statements scripted by a advisor, unless he's monumentally out of touch.... oh, hold on
@ChrisMayLA6 I’m no constitutional expert but isn’t a party leader making a Party Political Broadcast while parenthetically exercising Prime Ministerial prerogative to announce a General Election a breach of the Ministerial Code?
I thought they were supposed to maintain separation of roles?
But of course, any constitutional probity went out the window years ago
“Rishi Sunak blocked veterans using their IDs at polling stations over fears it could “open the floodgates” to more students voting, a cabinet minister has revealed
Veterans minister Johnny Mercer complained he had tried “for months without success” to convince Downing Street to let veterans use their IDs to vote”
…If sunak wants to know about vote rigging all he has to do is to call trump
Well, what do you do when you're in a polling hole, yes, you double down on attacking the poor & the vulnerable.... Jeremy Hunt & Mel Stride are portraying taking benefits as a 'lifestyle choice' that the Govt. should not support...
Have they got any idea about the world outside their Tory enclave; have they ever tried to survive on benefits; have they ever suffered ill health?
Hunt & Stride are vile, inhumane, people who care about no-one but themselves
Global politics hasn't lurched to the right. The bigots and fascists of the far right always been there, it's just that Trump and his client Tory party in the UK have enabled them. We've stopped naming and shaming them because Trump and Boris validated them. Since WWII they had been suppressed by common decency - now they are lauded by the leaders. Our politicians have failed us. #gtto
“Lib Dems ‘on course to topple leading Tories’ in general election
(…) the results put them on course to challenge the chancellor Jeremy Hunt and the housing and communities secretary Michael Gove in Surrey, and the justice secretary Alex Chalk in Cheltenham”
…Don’t stop there
There’s much good work to be done removing rees-mogg, braverman & sunak.
There was a Tory MP on the (radio) news saying it was too early to write the Tories off. He used a football analogy - that you wouldn't call the result of a football match when there was still thirty minutes left on the clock.
He's clearly never been at a football match and seen the home team fans streaming out of the park thirty minutes before time - when they're 10-0 down, including three own goals...
