Is it me, or are some secrets of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night just a tiny bit too well hidden? Like the sword card. How would you ever think, oh this spot in this giant ceiling looks like there could be a secret hidden behind it? #metroidvania#castlevania#sotn#castlevaniasotn
Will be continuing my blind playthrough of the magical world of Shantae at 1:30 AM CST on my #Twitch account I'm a #SmallStreamer so please boost this post and raids are greatly appreciated.
Early in #metroidvania Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth you get a flight power-up.
I discovered how gamebreaking it is during Karla's boss fight. Sadly, I forgot to take screenshots of Deedlit hovering over her head for large portions of the fight, while Karla wastes magic on thin air.
So I drew a re-enactment.
The game is great controls and graphics wise, and Deedlit has a lot of fun (if overpowered) abilities. Just the level design and many enemies are a bit basic and repetitive
Empieza despacito, solo puedes saltar y apenas te cuentan nada.
How is Metroid, generally critically acclaimed and well regarded, among the poorer performing first party franchises. All while the genre that it co-authored is among the most popular for indie games.
One of the games I really wish I could replay for the first time is Bunny Must Die.
It's a #metroidvania and one of the games to truely deserve that name, with mechanics and references from both Castlevania AND Metroid
But on top of that, it's a Metroid-sized 2D map where you can and almost certainly will die in EVERY room. Often many times. Save rooms are only every few rooms.
It feels incredible to be able to breeze through after that
