Running #RaspberryPi's with old 32-bit #Raspbian gets more and more painful... I thought #nix could help getting something like an up-to-date Python (I previously compiled it myself, but then after hours some _sqlite module wasn't there so screw it...), but apparently even #nix needs to build everything from scratch as the cache doesn't really contain built armv7l packages 😅 Let's see how this goes...
@vsaw The building is okay now. I even managed to build #Apptainer on my #SailfishOS phone! Problem is, you first need an up-to-date Go as you mentioned... But that should be available as pre-built binary for pretty much every platform.
@Tutanota - On #SailfishOS (my daily driver) I can only use webmail and then only through an android browser (Firefox).
But I bought two additional years of Revolutionary nonetheless, and it is linked to my personal domain as my main account. ...and I recommend Tutanota to my family, friends and even complete strangers.
So basically I'm a fan, although a slightly grumpy one right now.
I am backing up my #SailfishOS phone before I move to an Android-based OS, and damn will I miss ssh access and the ability to just use rsync to back-up the data off of it.

I want a usable de-Googled phone OS. I like /e/OS's Nextcloud integration, but CalyxOS seems to be more up-to-date (already on Android 13, where /e/OS is Android 12). CalyxOS also makes it easier to re-lock the bootloader.
With great effort I've successfully been avoiding #WhatsApp so far, but this hard exploit has sadly come to an end and I must install it for a circuit training group I'm part of.
I've experienced the same delusion when I had to switch back to #android from #SailfishOs because of apps available only there. Or when I had to create #Facebook temporary accounts to join certain communities.
So annoyed by coercion exerted by society when it comes to products, sgrunt!
MeeGo to projekt m.in. Intela - przypomnę tylko, że pewna część pracowników Nokii, otrzymała odprawy w patentach i stworzyli firmę #Jolla z systemem #SailfishOS. Ciekawy jest też dev model n950 czy słynna n900, które jest up-to-date z latest kernelem do dnia dzisiejszego (#maemo leste).

I don't understand why the European Union doesn't support this company... It's European, the interface is beautiful, it means independence from US companies, you'd want this to succeed.
