Finally finished my #DoctorWho wallet! I am SO pleased with how this turned out. There's some issues with the stitching on the interior that I would normally fix, but for a personal project I just couldn't be bothered.
Random thoughts: my tube of toothpaste suddenly turned into a “Tardis” a couple of weeks ago. I was certain that it was running out, and yet, it keeps on going, which makes me think it’s much bigger on the inside than the outside. #toothpaste#tardis#longevity
Another thrilling part of the #RussellTDavies#DoctorWho specials is the #DisabilityRepresentation. Shirley Anne Bingham is a great addition to the Whoniverse, and I think it's marvelous that in the 3rd special, Davies decided to explicitly call out the fact that YES, many wheelchair users can walk, and YOU'RE the asshole if you accuse them of "faking" because of that.
I love that even the #TARDIS is wheelchair accessible now! 😍
I am not a wheelchair user myself, but I am always excited to see better disability representation, especially when #accessibility is at the forefront. Like it or not, the media we consume teaches people how to think about disability (and for many, many people it affects whether they think about it at all).
