The group diligently observes the collective dissent voiced by numerous Meta employees, encompassing #Facebook, #Instagram, WhatsApp, #Messenger, and #Threads, regarding the Meta #company's complicity in the #genocidal war against the #Gaza Strip, its endorsement of the Israeli occupation, and its fueling of the "Lavender" #artificialintelligence system used by the Israeli military to kill #Palestinian individuals within the Gaza enclave.
An important distinction is slowly being uncovered about the definition of the term "fediverse." Who is it that gets to decide what this place is? How are we being represented? These are not easy questions to answer and if we don't do a better job describing ourselves, then the job will get done for us by people who don't understand the underlying values we hold. #fediverse#meta#threads
Ich bin nach meinem #Twitter Ausstieg nirgendwo so richtig angekommen. Es überfordert mich, dass alle so verstreut sind und ich komme nicht mehr hinterher. Habe mich daher gestern entschieden, #threads von meinem privaten Handy zu kicken und dort nichts mehr zu posten. Immer, wenn ich die App aufmache, springen mich toxische Inhalte an. Moderation funktioniert nicht so wirklich. Lieber gucke ich dann öfter wieder bei #Mastodon rein.

Come va? È un po' che non bazzico da queste parti. Devo dire che, come contenuti, #Threads non mi dispiace affatto. Dopo un po' di tweak, l'algoritmo (sì, proprio lui) sembra funzionare piuttosto bene.
Spero di riuscire prima o poi ad usare un solo client per entrambi i social. So che #Buffer sta lavorando ad un’integrazione con le API di Threads: vediamo.

Mucho parloteo con la federación con #ActivityPub pero como nunca uso las líneas de tiempo locales ni federadas no me he cruzado con nadie de allí y a día de hoy no tengo ni idea de si el dominio está bloqueado desde la .social o si sencillamente ha sido cuestión de azar.
So. I'm thinking of leaving #hachyderm for an instance that blocks #threads. I've read the reasons, and it's not enough to play in the same waters as the evilcorp that is meta.
Suggestions? Tech centric, inclusive, progressive is what I'm looking for.

Something ForumWG is actively researching at present. A lot of the fediverse is built on reply chains, fragmented ones, but there's a better path forward, and we're figuring out just how to do it.
You shouldn't ever have to "view original post" except out of a sense of curiosity.
I want to be more active about encouraging #Threads users to federate.
To that end, I asked @nationalkidneyfoundation to federate this morning and bring their good work around kidney disease and transplant to the #fediverse.
