#Trump, lookin like he just stepped off the set of the latest #Wonka movie, is really upset by the idea that he could be forced to sell off properties to pay the massive #civilJudgments against him. The sense of entitlement this guy displays is cartoonishly preposterous, and I can't believe this is what American life has become.

'Wonka' may make villains of big business, but at the same time glamorizes the status quo fantasy of a genius entrepreneur who harvests ingredients as a humble traveler. Back in reality his type is completely divorced from the laborers that make his dream possible.
For reasons, I hadn't really been interested in seeing #Wonka#WonkaMovie , but recently, a friend was talking the film up to me, unsolicited. I guess she was persuasive enough, because I went to see it last night.
I did enjoy the film, and for some reason, it hit totally different than the trailer, which had left me not interested in seeing the film. There were elements in the movie that were completely left out of the trailer that might have made me more interested. 1/3
Having now seen the film, I'm not really understanding some of the criticisms I'd heard about it.
For no reason that I can articulate, the opening number in this film reminded me of "The Greatest Showman", which I loved, so that definitely put me in a positive mood. #Wonka#WonkaMovie 2/3
Just saw #Wonka I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did being a huge fan of the Gene Wilder original but it was a nice tribute and blows that awful Johnny Depp one away

Oh. #Wonka is pretty magical! I think I was burned by the Depp Wonka and thought any new Wonka would be another misfire at best, but the new one has great performances, some sweet new numbers, honours the Wilder version… and Chalamet can do it. He can actually do Wonka. I cried quite a lot!
Breathtaking: the hubris to hook your story on a character wanting to feel the same thing he felt as a child… and actually DELIVERING making you feel like you did watching Wonka as a child! Bra-fucking-vo.
