Take this holiday to spend with family and enjoy the end of spring and coming summer. Also, spare a thought for the people subjected to the peak of the “brutal” expansion of the British Empire at the end of the 19th Century including the beginning of the Indian Residential School system and the hanging of Louis Riel all done in Queen Victoria’s name in the new Dominion of Canada.
Impulse buy: #RootBeer. My one foreign holiday was to #Toronto#Canada as a child. Root beer was everywhere and a drink like coke or irn-bru. This kind is non-alcoholic. Tasting it now confirns what I thought then...root beer tastes the way #Germoline smells🤣

Nominated for nine Emmys, he won twice.
He died in 1993.

Where I live in #Canada, the air quality is literally off the charts currently due to immense wildfires. The sky looks like pea soup, we cannot see the sun, and you can chew the air. We spend most of our time indoors and hope this passes soon.

Some good news from the Supreme Court of #Canada: A B.C. school trustee had sued a teacher for defamation after the teacher called him bigoted and transphobic in the media.
