Earlier, #Trump falsely claims #courthouse area is ‘completely CLOSED DOWN’ to protesters again suggesting there is a #DoubleStandard for him & his supporters, when evidence supports the opposite.
Facts: ~100 protesters at Columbia arrested. Outside courthouse, there are some bike-rack-type barriers (haven’t we learned those are ineffective?), but #protesters have been chanting & walking on the sidewalk. The park outside the courthouse was closed off very early Monday, now it’s unlocked.
Fuck this country. The rules and laws are completely meaningless, and enforcement is based entirely on how wealthy you are. THIS is proof of the two-tiered justice system our leaders always insist doesn't exist. They're liars, and they know they're just propping up a system that favors the wealthy and powerful, excusing the consequences of their behavior while holding the rest of us to strict account.
The Canadian 'Civil Liberties' organization has just won a hard fought battle to see that out-of-towners can congregate to block roads, make any amount of disturbing noise, defecate and urinate on your property at will, and generally make your city unlivable.

842 staff members of #EU institutions signed a letter warning that European support of Israel risks making the EU "lose all credibility" and expressing dismay at the "patent show of double-standard" on #Gaza vs #Ukraine.
The letter warns that the EU is “losing all credibility and the position as a fair, equitable and humanist broker” and damaging its international relations as well as risking the safety of EU staff.
“We are saddened by the patent show of double-standards which considers the blockade (water and fuel) operated by #Russia on the Ukrainian people as an act of terror whilst the identical act by Israel against the Gazan people is completely ignored,” the letter reads.
The signatories are from a wide range of EU countries including Ireland.
“We cannot remain silent observers when the Institution you represent as President not only has been unable to halt the Palestinian tragedy unfolding for decades in full impunity, but by its recent unfortunate actions or positions seem to give a free hand to the acceleration and the legitimacy of a war crime in the Gaza Strip,” they write.

I suspect what ticked the hammer off were tags referring to "prohibited" substances. namely #thc#weed#marijuana#LSD#acid#tryptamine#hallucinogenic. the posts were deleted without informing me even though I was also using tags such as "moderation" and "noalcohol" in the same post. why is it forbidden to talk positively about these blissful compounds that nature gifts us, while hyperconsumption of #alcohol, #nicotine and #coffee is normalized and even encouraged, and the elite is allowed to indulge unquestioned, including #public#officials?
