Deadlift: warm ups, 1x6 @ 280 (85% 1rm), 4x6 @ 255lbs.
Close grip bench: 4x8 @ 155lbs (70% 1rm)
Bicep curls/skullcrushers: supersetted 3x17 @ 25lbs or some small weight like that.
Morning workout meant I felt a bit more stiff on the deadlifts. After the workout I realized I usually have a 1 inch raise on them to make it easier to get into position. That explains things! Bench strength is back especially with proper rest between sets.
Overhead Press: Warm ups, 1x6 @ 155 (80% 1rm), 4x5 @ 145lbs.
Push press: Quick warm up, 4x7 @ 135lbs. Failed last two reps of the last set.
Box jumps/dumbbell press supersets: 3x6/3x9 @ 35lbs each hand.
I'm 95% of the way back from the colds. Thinking the heat, being if schedule for a number of weeks, and my diet and starting to impact things. This shouldn't have felt so hard for me tonight. Oh well!
Not too bad. Squat weight definitely felt heavier than last time, but doable still. Pulled something in my left general ass/low back area, so I swapped front squats for close grip bench. Love the 8+ sets after being away for a while!

This workout was not supposed to feel so difficult. The deadlifts weren't too bad, but the presses were rough. Just took forever to get any energy going. Guessing either still leftover illness or a new illness starting. Argh!
Great to be back! Push press felt good and easy, and then I couldn’t strict OHP super put weights lol. So switched it to bench instead which went better. Guess all the things I’ve had going on recently limited tonight.
Apparently I’ve been doing squats wrong?? Maybe I should stop using Smith Machine altogether and stick to basics? I feel like I need to justify my gym trip by doing something fancy; I mean you can do basics anywhere 🤷🏻♀️ #gym#lifting#workout

Today is the kind of day when I am retreating to the comforts of my air-conditioned gym equipped with swimming pool, steam room & sauna to escape the merciless heat.
I mean, sure, I will willingly subject myself to the heat of a steam room but that is only for five minutes 😜
