Your work is invaluable, @chriskirknielsen! Never thought about visualizing effect filters, but now makes a lot more sense because of such a tool.

I mean, in terms of non-destructive workflows and , the only thing I know that Just Works™ is . Of course, if ever got approved by Consortium, the progress would be apparent. Well, nevermind that! Having node graph for path effects, additionally, would probably make up for a stellar experience.

Your tool is something else: it comes at rescue in understanding raster SVG effects. I have a hope. 👍

Maybe an easy #inkscape question, but one I'm not familiar with: How do I convert an inkscape fill pattern to plain vector object?

Made my first font with and , then testing out in Inkscape!

Inspired by Uncial, upper case and text figures only for now.

Keming is important but still to learn that bit, hence the disturbing gaps after letter F. And 8 is way too big.

The basic news is that Inkscape 1.4 will be Gtk3 based, and out Gtk4 rollout will be delayed.

My own work is highlighting improvements to the export dialog.

This is so much better than our first , and more what I had in mind when it comes to our in the framework of Inkscape .

Hopefully, & followers are more interested in , this time. Of course that's among our main reasons to make videos in the first place, not just selfish promotion. Every time one of our videos will turn an user into an @inkscape artist, we are promoting successfully.

Managed to get a prototype of the group translucency feature @jfml was asking about the other day.

When you enter a group in today, the status bar changes but that's about it. With this change, all other objects not in the group become 80% translucent allowing you to see that you are inside a group and which one on canvas.

That one is a recreation of a panel from the prev. comic version b/c I lost some of the original .SVG files 😭

Started working on a sickbay for the USS Cerberus. Gonna be a mix of Voyager and Enterprise-E as far as influences, but with its own color pallet and details.

It's quite dark at the moment as most light sources aren't set up yet, I intend the final set to be brighter.

Increased lighting levels all through the room, finished the biobeds (including the surgical arms, and yes they do move into place), and did a bunch of other details all over. Other than some LCARS and final touchups, I think this set is nearly done!
