So #Threads is slowly killing off #Twitter, & #TikTok Shop is spamming users to the point they are reopening #Instagram‽ I can not wait to introduce people to #Pixelfed! 🕺🏾
Yeah, I am thinking along the same lines. The fediverse as composed from various activitypub implementations is basically an upgrade of the entire web to make it more interactive.
The other day I spotted somebody working on a #joomla extension. Its literally a leave-nobody-behind kind of transformation.
Mastodon is a pioneer, the way the first websites were pioneering. But in few years there will be thousands of specialized alternatives.
Hey other #hackspace board members here on mastodon.
What software do you use to manage your hackspace?
Like administrate members, administrate payments and all the stuff you have to deal with in your space?
data management and calendars (separated board members specific stuff and a possibly public calendar): #nextcloud
Used mainly by the board members but set up using group folders to have a area for all members to check out photos, protocols and so on + work together. Is not in use by every member yet. Thinking about integrating the calendar into our website (which we should rebuild to make use of an #CMS like #joomla or #WordPress I guess).
Habe ich Fans der Content-Management-Systeme NEOS, Magnolia oder Drupal hier? Die mir die Systeme schmackhaft machen mögen und meinen Horizont erweitern? 😊
How can I position Woocommerce? is this an ecommerce solution only, or is it Wordpress (with all blog functionality) + ecommerce? #wordpress#woocommerce
Advising a friend who wants to build a many pages website but also wants to add on online store to it.
@rm4 Thanks! working exclusive with #Joomla myself so trying to 'translate' it to what I know. Ecommerce solutions based on Jooml actually work on top of Joomla: so you get the CMS + shop. Do I understand it correct that Woocommerce is not working that way > it runs 'standalone' from WP (so own hosting / directory / database / etc.)
I’m working on a little project and would like to connect with people who have been impacted by #Joomla in some way.
If you (or a client) have a story about Joomla or even just remember it fondly, please message me! What sparked your passion?
This is still valid even if you’ve moved on to other things or you are less involved, for ANY reason. I want to hear those stories too, because that’s still valid and important. It’s not necessarily a feel-good project.
What's your thoughts on #Drupal vs #Joomla? I'm looking for a PHP CMS that isn't WordPress based on a potential client's request. Prefer #Symfony based so that's why these 2.
Mostly a brochure site with some normal CMS-y features (gallery, contact form, etc).
