It's only 140kg (what I would still consider ) but I couldn't lift it more than 2 times in a row. So I tried to get as much as possible with a approach.

now finally show's it's effects on my performance. It's still 1 week left before making the Xmas break and evaluating things for the coming year.

Oh my, what an amazing from ! 🫢️ The Composer, "premium reference headphones". But the price, like many other recent so-called headphones such as the Meze Empyrian, is way out of my league unfortunately. 🫣️ https://austrian.audio/headphones/thecomposer/

Any headphone that goes in that direction is immediately targeting a very wealthy audience though. 😝️
However, I do not long for . I am looking for , , , (and admittedly a bit of too). 🫣️🤓️

I notice two contradictory sentiments emanating from the same communities.

  • We want more collaboration.
  • Why can't the Product Owner (or Customer or ...) simply tell me what they want the first time?

When I read The New Strategic Selling, I learned about the Complex Sale, the Four Buyers, and among those buyers, the role of the Coach.

The Coach is your person on the inside who helps you navigate just enough of The Enterprise Environment. Among other things, they help you get paid sooner.

I faced an impenetrable and frankly old-fashioned Accounts Payable machine and my intrepid Coach found a way to cut through it. I get paid 30-45 days earlier.

That was good Coach!

Starmer’s bank holiday for ‘Lionesses’ would’ve cost more than ending 2-child cap

‘Labour leader’ wants to keep more than a million children hungry, but wanted bank holiday for England women’s football team – which would have cost (lots) more

jacqui76,

I don't rate Starmer either but I live in NI - what I think doesn't matter. I can't vote for the party. I don't rate any English politician - they all have their flaws.

What I will say is we in get the , or a as SoS. We aren't on anyone's priority list.

So it doesn't bother me if he is bland or has zero charisma - that is the type of politician that we get sent from Westminster*

@dancinyogi Don't like it and can't tolerate it, anyway, as I'm sensitive to caffeine. A few cups of green tea works for me.

Today during Office Hours Video! we discussed some pretty fundamental topics:

  • How to deal with scope creep and "Too Much to Do" (and where all this / stuff came from)
  • Consensus- and Consent-based decision-making approaches
  • The feeling of Immeasurability and how that makes one's job position feel insecure

I really like the opportunity to Get Back to Basics, as it were.

Today I got to spend over an hour talking with a client about what's "gone wrong" with software development in a way that:

  • openly eliminated blame (at least, I think so)
  • focused on optimistically improving the situation (at least, I hope so)

What happens next lies in their hands.

Rest assured, there are already hundreds of comments about this online. :)

Also, this is what happens when programmers ignore the Dependency Inversion Principle: they can't foresee the impact of an action, so either they refuse to try it or they disturb users worldwide, who then build a negative association with the company's brand.
