So the point of BlueSky is to try to simulate a centralized social media platform with decentralized hardware, right? So, like, what's the incentive to hosting your own BlueSky servers? I can see having a single-user repository for your own data, but there's no reason to host anyone else's personal data, right? :confused_dog:
With Mastodon, the incentive to host a server comes from the fact that servers are smaller, tighter-knit communities, so hosting your server comes with building a community. What's the incentive on BlueSky?

Dis #masto, est-ce que tu as déjà constaté ceci sur un #FP5 sous #Murena /e/ à jour (1.21) : point d'accès wifi activé sur le téléphone, depuis un autre téléphone, la connexion apparait comme "limitée", et pas de navigation web possible. Pareil depuis un ordinateur connecté à l'AP. Comme s'il n'y avait pas de #DNS. Pourtant, depuis l'ordi, un ping vers une IP passe, un ping vers un tld passe aussi. I've only found one report of the protests in the BBC where they fail to mention the scale of the protests. Nothing in the Guardian or Independent.

@Linux_Is_Best Looks like I hit a window of availability where I can spin up a second Oracle Always Free VM. The only Debian-like option is unfortunately Ubuntu so I'll spin it up and see where I go. If it works, perhaps I can move my #masto instance to the cloud.
How do you do your alt texts when there is text on the image?
(what I meant by 'description' is other elements within the image, e.g. the text is in a dialogue box, or a website, or there is a pen beside the book, etc)
