I caught myself replying to rando post in my feed about annoying things on Facebook. I deleted my account for the last time in 2016 and out a DNS block in my systems.
So rather than reply I switched tabs and added a permanent global mute on Facebook. No, I won’t even see my own post about it.
@minervakoenig So you don't want the pause? Or you can't appreciate for 2 minutes that it's a positive thing?
This is exactly what I've been talking about for 2 days. Every bit of decent news gets responses like this in droves.
I happen to appreciate moments where everything isn't doom and gloom. I'm well aware of who and what Big Corps are/do, I don't need reminding, but I can also enjoy a few minutes of Glad This Happened.

I'm amazed by how many people there are who condemn the killing of civilians by some combatants while justifying it at the hands of others based on their politics or selective reading of history or whatever. I don't know how they manage the cognitive dissonance.
@jann Forcefully condemning both side's attacks on civilians is an example of moral clarity, which has never been a driver of heinous crimes against civilians. And citing bloodshed by Palestinians while pretending Israel isn't guilty of killing and displacing huge numbers of Palestinians is about as selective as a reading of history can get. #muted

I really love the #filters here on #Mastodon. Unlike on previous corporate-owned platforms I’ve used, Mastodon filters allow me to hide one major source of traffic: the US.

I'm taking a look at #Calckey. I like what I see however there is no mobile app that yet supports it such as #Mona fully to my noledge. Also my windows client probably does not as well. This looks like a promising platform though for bloggers and probably podcasters as well. It would be cool if #Tffp were on there. Not as a podcast though as We already are on pinecast. #Calckey#Technology#Fedaverse
