"Halt and Catch Fire" premiered 10 years ago and went on for four seasons and 40 episodes. @polygon's Devan Suber describes how the beloved AMC show understood the draw of video games better than any show that's come before it. "In the words of Joe MacMillan (Lee Pace), the computer was always 'the thing that gets us to the thing,' a vector for connection, expression, or some other deeper human need."
We just finished "We Were Here Expeditions: The Friendship" and @IrgendSoEine and me almost scored a perfect score.
We collected all the golden tickets and we had a blast.
It's less story focused than the other "We Were Here" games, but it was very nice c:
I recently designed a Frollo dress after Daisy's boutique opened, I don't think it's as good as my Jafar one, but it's a start. #DisneyDreamlightValley
The MSX classic The Maze of Galious was actually Knightmare 2.
An interesting feature of the game depended on what was inserted into the MSX's second cartridge slot.
If the first Knightmare was in, you could resurrect your companion 99 times. If there was Q-bert, you started the game with bonuses like extra gold and a full health bar...☺️👍🕹️
One remembers only an ugly, cruel game, but watching this played by an expert is so rewarding. Stunned to rediscover how much of my lifelong mental background-music playlist comes from this game. #videogames#retrogaming
A tiny visual novel which can be played (with slightly weird formatting) on Android or on a computer.
The concept of sentences in the game, but new words completely changing the meaning of the sentences when they're added after a couple of runs, is really excellent.
Highly recommended.

I have had an extremely hard week. I had some me time for myself for the first time in Don't Ask, so I decided to go fiddle in Gridania. A lalafel came up to me, dressed like this, and started cheering. I love this game. I love this shitpost given form. #gaming#videogames#mmorpg#finalfantasy#ffxiv#ff14
It already looks like gameplay and prototype game mechanics... A collection device with a limit, a device for accumulation and whatever. What's next? Make a Ghostbusters energy trap?
I fell all the way back in love with XCOM 2 on last night's stream. Do you have any top XCOM tips?
I always colour code soldiers. Red for Rangers, Blue for Specialists, Yellow for Grenadiers, White for Sharpshooters (to easily see how abilities can be used on the battlefield).
Afternoon Folks. I have no clue why I have been struggling to get a blog post out in the mornings lately.
Anyway... last night I managed to snag a Siege of Orgrimmar and Throne of Thunder group and am the proud owner of a shiny necklace slot. I also talk a bit about how grouping has gone in general and how I would love for this recent foray into building groups to extend into other games.
