I'm down to the very last 10 signed books left at gricklemart.com and then that's it! NO MORE! Full of some of the strangest, sweet and disturbing little stories I've ever done. Don't regret not getting a copy for your personal library! https://gricklemart.com/the-book-of-grickle-signed/#grickledoodle#art#cartoon#comics#funny#sad#weird
@jake4480 I‘m reminded of a book written by one of the guys who made a surface density senor on the probe that landed on Titan. In a rushed press conference, pressed to interpret unexpected data he bulrted out that the surface was like „Crème Brûlée“ - hard on the outside and soft underneath. Press went wild with „Saturn Moon Made Out of Crème Brûlée“ headline. Careful analysis later revealed that it was probably a layer of small, hard pebbles. Nobody in the press cared to publish this.
If you're looking for something #weird and #experimental for your #BandcampFriday list, try out The Alchemical Process of Modular Synthesis, my second release of 2023. I didn't heavily promote this one, because a) it came hot on the heels of my premier 2023 release, Psychedelic Ghost Stories, and I was more keen to get the word out on that one, and b) because it's pretty out there and likely to alienate a fair number of listeners 😅
@experimentalmusic@modularsynth this album is 100% #modular#synth apart from a tiny bit of post processing. If you're curious about the prices, it is actually fully documented on my blog:
YouTube has this new screensaver mode that dropped today for me where it shows a thumbnail of some theme like, “Acrylic Pouring Techniques” or “New York City Drone” and UI encouraging you to “press up to play”. It’s slightly annoying because it now overrides the art screensaver that I set up as my default Apple TV screensaver.
Pressing up plays a video associated with the listed theme. I wonder how much the video creators got paid for this? 🤔 #YouTube#weird#screensaver
Erin Hannon and I wrote a short commentary on Nori Jacoby et al.'s fantastic paper on people's rhythmic reproduction tendencies in a bunch of different parts of the world and sub-populations in those places.
