I'm not sure #YouTubers should be allowed to say "No pun intended" in their videos because their videos are so heavily scripted.
:face_smirk_fb:
If you really didn't intend the pun you would just change the wording and if it made it to the final script... I guess that means the pun was intended.
You're not stealing from scientists. The journals are, and unlike EVERY OTHER PLATFORM don't give a penny back to "creators". Yes, that includes #openaccess journals. Piracy lets us demand reform.
I don't have the bandwith to hear anyone say "post pandemic" anymore. If I am watching/listening to a youtube video that I otherwise enjoyed and then the creator offhand mentions "post pandemic", I click off.
I am done.
As someone who masks, takes precautions, and tries really hard not to become more disabled...it is exhausting and damaging to hear.
Please recommend youtubers who are up-to-date with covid info, I need new people to listen to while I work.
Instead of, or in addition to, saying "like and subscribe" #YouTubers should tell their viewers to check out their #rss feed which is updated every time they put out a new video. Maybe that rss feed is from a #WordPress site which has their embedded videos in each post and also uses WP's #ActivityPub plugin to integrate with the #Fediverse.
#Creators can liberate themselves from the algorithm but they need to be proactive. They need to build the world they want.
Anyone else finding #Shorts pretty pointless to make unless the video was basically already a Short?
My cats do fine in Shorts, it seems worth it to stay within the format for that.
But I wanted highlights of livestreams to serve as a teaser for people to watch the whole thing and they just get nothing. They get about the same views as a normal video, which for a short is terrible.
The South Korean government has issued guidelines urging #YouTubers to limit alcohol promotion, addressing concerns about influencing minors amid the popularity of online drinking talk shows.
Jessi pointed out recently that all my favorite (or most watched) YouTubers are Australian—Indeimaus, Skill Up, and Th3Jez (and as a runner-up, even Allanah Pierce, but that’s cuz she doesn’t make much game content anymore).
Not sure what it is about Australians. 🤷🏻♂️ But yeah, these folks are great. #YouTube#YouTubers

The idea of #YouTubers flying to #Australia to unbox #iPhones a day or two earlier seems utterly insane to me, especially when a lot of these same reviewers will just complain that the phones are minor incremental updates. Is chasing views and the #emissions associated with global travel just for this actually worth it?
