Bloomberg ‘analysis reveals a rollout of solar and wind that’s put China on track to reach records this year that far exceed its already world-beating adoption of green energy. So much clean power is coming online that the country could reach peak emissions well ahead of its 2030 deadline, giving the planet a better chance of keeping global temperatures in check.’

Dutch Court ruled that company Criteo violated Article 6(1) GDPR for failing to obtain users’ consent prior to placing tracking cookies. Moreover, the court held that Criteo and its partner websites, were joint controllers (Article 26 GDPR), and thus both Criteo and its partner websites were responsible for ensuring valid consent. https://gdprhub.eu/index.php?title=Rb.

Dear all, do you have any tips?

I’d love to have an ereader which is roughly as large as paper prints. I want to use it for reading PDFs of scholarly papers + highlighting and scribbling on the PDFs.

(I tried a Remarkable 2, but it was too small for my taste. And I don’t like reading PDFs on my iPad or laptop.)

E.g.: Does anyone have experience with Onyx books or Sony ereaders?

I admit that, so far, I print papers for focused reading.

Thank you!

Talks on better privacy protection between Meta and the Dutch govt have come to nothing, the govt reported to the Parliament. Meta refuses to meet the govt and to amend its data processing practices.

Let’s see whether this leads to the government stopping with Facebook.
