I came across this #Canadian petition.

It is calling upon the House of Commons to extend to #transgender and #nonbinary people - the right to claim asylum in #Canada by reason of eliminationist laws in their home countries, whatever country that may be.

Amazing fact almost 160,000 people have signed so far.

Only 16,000 shy of being the 2nd most signed petition...EVER!

Closes May 26.

Truth be told, I don't engage in extra work for the acquisition of money.

In fact, I spend my time outside of my day job developing projects for FREE.

Projects that have made the most impact surrounding social justice have all been unpaid✊️

My motivation is always looking for opportunities to influence social change. THAT entices me.

Been thinking lately about this trip we are all on re: the state of so many global hardships.

Many avoid looking @, talking about or naming - as if it is easier just to avoid & deny.

We are in it. Moving on is an impossibility.

I'm not saying we have to live in a state of fear.

And I believe it is important to acknowledge what is & the feelings and pain that accompany.

Otherwise, we are sleepwalking.
