I took yesterday as a mental health day. Sent the toddler to daycare then spent the rest of the day making happy little trees, ordering cheap Chinese takeout for lunch, and binge watching . This is about 12 hours worth of work to get to this point. Finishing the basing and painting should take 2 to 3 hours. Not sure how long the foliage will take. I also need to figure out where I'm gonna store them...




18 aluminum foil trees on 2" bases. Each stands about 5" tall. Each tree has 4 to 6 branches, and 3 to 5 small roots around the base of the tree. The trees have been covered in hot glue and primed black with Mod Podge and paint. 2 trees in front have some sand applied to their bases.

I backed a couple of Kickstarters without having the core game. I have to say that I'm really enjoying the adventure and world building, and I'm sad I didn't back the core rules Kickstarter...

Not that I need another game on my shelf I'll probably never get around to playing. And to be honest I find myself much more interested in settings and adventures than rules at this point.

Crushed Crates

Hey there #WarhammerCommunity, I'm trying to make some basing for my titan and I need opinions. I 3d-printed these and then placed a sledgehammer on top before heating to simulate a crushed effect under the tread of the titan. Does it work or should I go for more?

Continuing to work on Kalanzar the Wicked. I have about a week to get him done, and after the 2 hours I spent on him last night think I might actually make it. Still a lot of work to do on the wings and head... And let's not talk about the base...

98% done...
Need to hit the face with the final highlight, and do the scales on the wings, as well as a little touch up on the base where I had to add more rock to cover the tail and left foot tabs.

    TIL Amazon allows you to tip your driver $5 for FREE. I just did it and it’s legit.
    Search “Tip My Driver” on Amazon and click the yellow button. Your driver will get a $5 tip and it costs you nothing. If you have an Echo, you can apparently ask Alexa to do the same.

    My group has acquired the Gloom Crown, and has decided not to give it to their dark elf patron (darn) and want to destroy it. Given that it's up there on the minor artifact level, I figure it'll take something special to destroy it. Anyone have any ideas?

    Gloom Crown item description. Tldr, turns wearer into a shadow version of their normal self with the ability to drain strength. Can turn members of their own race into shadow creatures under their own control. Can also steal life levels from their victims.

    Had a rather chill day off. Nice call with my aunt, eye exam, lunch with my wife, Loki finale, wrote a couple of blog posts and added some paint to the wings of the dragon I'm working on. Then it was time to get the kids from daycare, dinner at Friendly's, and as soon as he's in bed, we'll watch a movie and snuggle on the couch.

    Last night I was writing up a random encounter table for the long passage that connect the major sections of my dungeon. Mostly they're environmental challenges, a couple of potential useful spots, and a few monsters.

    @jonobie they look like the same sort of yellow jackets I have in my yard. They don't seem particularly aggressive, and might or might not be pollinators, seems to depend on who you ask. Are they in a high traffic area?

    One of those minis that's been in my "when I'm a better painter" pile was this King of Ashes from Rackham. Well, I'm a better painter than I was 20 years ago when I got it...

    Am I good enough to do it justice? Maybe.

    But I'm gonna enjoy painting it anyway.

    I was rather active back on Google+ back in the day (and I am a bit miffed that Google ended it one week before I started my Patreon campaign).

    And the one feature I truly miss are the "Collections". Basically, you could assign each of your posts to a single Collection you've defined. For example, I created the following Collections (among others):

    • "RPG" (tabletop role-playing games)
    • "Politics"
    • "Deutsch" (German-language posts)
    • "Science"

    and so forth. And those who followed me could choose whether to follow my entire stream, or only specific collections. Someone who wasn't interested in Politics could unsubscribe to these posts. Someone who could not read German could thus not have my German-language posts show up in their stream - and so forth.

    This was an amazing feature for keeping the signlal-to-noise ratio high in people's streams. And I would love it if someone implemented a -based approach for this - but I am not sure if would even support such a subdivision.

    EDIT: @sl007 pointed out that this feature IS, in fact, part of the ActivityPub standard and thus could be implemented on the Fediverse - but apparently, no one has done so yet. Read the following for the details:
