@Vivaldi@AllThingsTech@cliffwade@beardedtechguy oooh! Can't wait! Gonna have to make room for this on my calendar... 😅 I've invited the folks at fedihosting.foundation to listen along aswell!
If you've been thinking of switching browsers or contemplating whether you should set the Vivaldi browser as default, find out what @xdadevelopers has to say about what makes our browser stand out in the crowd. 👇🏻
@Vivaldi@xdadevelopers I still need to try out Arc, but it seems big on sidebars. And I do not like sidebars.
Except for Opera, the others are still installed on my old laptop.
I like trying out different browsers, and currently I'm using Floorp :)
@Vivaldi@xdadevelopers I've tried to go to XDA, but I'm annoyed by their "Please disable ad blocking" full web page notice.
I'm surprised that a browser like yours would recommend a place that requires intrusive advertisements to work, knowing how much you guys hate intrusive adverts.
📋ADHDers love curating Reading Lists to stay on track.
🫣Going back to them, though, is another story.
Have you tried giving yourself little rewards when you check off read items from the list? Because they totally count as mini victories! 🥳
It's true that neurodivergent minds are energized and motivated when they set and execute goals, gain achievements, communicate, create, strategize, innovate, or serve and connect with people.
But the constant whirlwind of killer ideas and endless possibilities, without the reigns of process, structure, and execution, can get debilitating.
🧰 To help you crush those distractions, we've curated a list of helpful tools available for you to use on our browser.
Building systems and leveraging productivity tools can set you up for success and manage your scattered thoughts.
Our built-in Reading List is one such example, read the blog for more👇
@Vivaldi I applied for a job at Opera, Grünerløkka. Application was rejected. I wasn't organised enough, I expect. If Vivaldi wants a talented programmer now, I'm prepared to step up.
@Vivaldi The built in reading list is an amazing feature. Recently you've added the ability to share links directly to the reading list, which is a fantastic addition. I love being able to add a link from any app (usually my feed reader) on my phone easily to the reading list and just pick it up and read it next time I'm on my computer or tablet.
🦋 If you struggle with ADHD or have your focus constantly ruined by a whirlwind of thoughts, then you probably use productivity tools that can help crush those distractions and give you some peace of mind.
Find out how you can say goodbye to those scattered thoughts by customizing the Vivaldi browser to work for your needs and preferences 👇🏻
@beardedtechguy Vivaldi has done a spectacular job just locking me into their browser. I use it for so much I don't even know where I'd begin with a different one. Another example is the Panel. As an admin of an instance, I spend a LOT of time here on Mastodon, and I'm constantly looking stuff up and taking notes. Something that I'm sure has been there forever and I never noticed is the ability to drag text from the active tab to a panel. Works AMAZINGLY for notes and translating.

🔒It's World Password Day and we'd like to remind you that a good password is like a good joke – not too short, not too obvious, and definitely not something you've told your friends, family, or everyone at the office!
@Vivaldi I think that Google should replace the chrome secure password generator so that passwords are 64 characters long with uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and special characters. Likewise, there should be an option to demand a master password when using or exporting passwords like there is in firefox and thunderbird.
🍎 iOS folks, the new Vivaldi 6.7 has some goodies just for you!
