Jesus loves you, visitor of my Mastodon profile! Phil. 4:13

I run TGif Gamer, a small community of other gamers on Discord and Steam. I do a lot of gaming and content creation. I also am a big fan of Bionicle, Ninjago, Doctor Who (mainly the classic episodes, although Tenth Doctor is cool), and DC Comics.

Considering moving from Vivaldi.net; I'll let you know when the transition happens.

I'm surprised that a browser like yours would recommend a place that requires intrusive advertisements to work, knowing how much you guys hate intrusive adverts.

Vivaldi, to android
@Vivaldi@vivaldi.net avatar

Hi everyone, where do we start?

The Home button and Panel button are back on Android!

After the release of Vivaldi 6.6 on Android we got to see first-hand how much you care about your browser. You raised your voice and shared your opinion with good reason.

We made a mistake.

You made it clear to us that the removal of the Home and Panel buttons, for those with the address bar at the bottom of your screen, was not something you wanted.

That's why, as of today, both buttons are back.

Our mission is to build a browser that adapts to you, and to do this we rely on feedback from everyone who uses our products.

So to everyone, thank you for making us better ❤️

A 28-second video of people giving us bad reviews and then positive reviews for listening to them and making changes. The audio has message bubble sounds.

@Vivaldi "Here’s to also building a more inclusive and empowering web together."

Inclusivity and empowerment should not be the primary focus of any business or organization. It should be based on cooperation, good morals, and individual strengths in expertise, which I do believe more women have than men (this coming from a dude, BTW).

Anyhoo, Happy Women's Day, I guess.

Let’s be honest, many of us like to watch gaming live streams, sports or music videos while browsing.

But if you’re tired of constantly switching between tabs, our Web Panels can be quite a handy tool.

These are web pages you add to the browser for a side-by-side view alongside your current tab. No need to open a new tab, just load your favorite websites as web panels.

🌐 Each site gets a dedicated icon in the sidebar menu, allowing you to open, close, and toggle between different panels effortlessly.

🎮 So go ahead and watch a live gaming feed or live-stream your pet camera to keep an eye on your furry friends while writing an email—without any interruptions to your browsing.

Web Panels are just what you need to check your go-to sites without committing to yet another tab.

🧩 With our new update to Vivaldi 6.6, Web Panels now work more like a regular tab and include page navigation and extended extensions functionality.

Download Vivaldi 6.6 now 👉🏼 https://vivaldi.com/download/

@Vivaldi I like the idea of web panels, but for some reason, Discord had an issue with it. I kept having to sign in with my credentials. Admittedly, though, I have yet to try again after the last update - is it fixed?

The chances of you and your colleague using a browser the same way are slim.

🎨 If you're in the Creative department, you spend time looking for inspiration across different design websites, use a note-taking tool to save snippets of information for your next written piece, or regularly access file-sharing platforms to share your designs.

📧 If you're a Manager, you spend a large part of your day dealing with emails, manage your team on different internal or external communication platforms, and navigate between different project management tools and dashboards to stay on top of projects.

But in whichever way you use your browser, almost everything about the Vivaldi browser can be customized and tailored to your needs.

Here are some ways you can customize our browser to make it work and feel like your personal workstation.👇🏻

@Vivaldi Vivaldi is a great browser; I have it on pretty much every computerized device. If I could get it on Nintendo Switch, I would! Unfortunately, Switch is very difficult to homebrew, due to Nintendo's recent security measures.

(Not promoting piracy by any means, BTW. I feel like I should make that clear, because people tend to misunderstand my intentions.)

Should we commit to using the latest trend in AI—Large language models— or LLMs? No, we won't.

This current AI trend comes with a list of limitations and challenges.

For starters, LLMs are complex and resource-intensive. The energy needed to train and operate these models is excessive and could potentially harm the environment.
