In fact, renewables are carrying an increasing % of their electrcity demand in the first 4 months in 2024:
95% in April
91% in March
88% in February
81% in January
Portugal’s rapid transition is evidence it can be done: their share of renewables is up from 27% in 2005 and 54% in 2017 with their last coal power plant shut down in 2021.

This whole job-search experience has left me quite jaded and cynical. I don’t think I’ll look at my open source contributions the same way again. I’ve never contributed for the sake of putting it on my resume, but I now know for certain that absolutely no one cares about your open source contributions. Managers and engineers will use as much open source as they can to do their work, but they have absolutely no care about who makes it or how it comes to be. It’s all magical, free labor to them.

Sie fuhren 107km/h in einer 50er Zone. Das Auto wurde jetzt kassiert und wird nach einem Gerichtsbeschluss womöglich zu Gunsten der Staatskasse versteigert😀 Ich finde so etwas brauchen wir hier unbedingt auch.
