Okay it looks like I'm going to have to plug in my second hard drive to install exactly two things, (1) the Intel Quartus FPGA toolchain and (2) Baldur's Gate 3, each of which is actually about the same size (150 GB)

I'm out of the hospital.

In today's issue: I talk about my experience in the public hospital system, and
Joseph Roche takes us to the front to report on how hungry soldiers feed themselves.

In a wooded area, after a fleeting summer rain, a group of soldiers are gathered around a makeshift table.

    @kubikpixel Ich nutze Ubuntu (auch seit über 10 Jahren), allerdings die Variante mit Unity (konnte mich mit Gnome nicht anfreunden).
    Warum? Weil es einfach und zuverlässig ist. Hatte in der ganzen Zeit kaum Probleme.

    Mittlerweile nervt allerdings der Ablauf bei snap Updates, v.a. bei Firefox.

    Last night while walking my dog someone asked me if they could ‘cook my dog’ (presumably because I’m Chinese and I cook dogs). And I run into these signs every half a mile or so from Nob Hill to North Beach. Welcome to super anti racist, progressive San Francisco!

    (Two months ago a lady pointed a blow torch at me and said she’d like to burn me for being Chinese. I’ve just spent thousands of dollars in therapy.)

    @esther I should have gone for a 12th generation chip when I bought a new computer in March, I knew it. :/

    Although at this point it seems you just have to accept that your computer can be compromised fairly easily.
